Building a Retention Culture

This 3-day highly experiential program is designed for mid- and executive-level leaders responsible for an organized nursing or interdisciplinary program or service across departments, service settings or system-wide.  Leaders will learn strategies to address:

  • The changing nature of our workforce

  • The emerging model of leadership

  • Strategic planning

  • Organizational culture

  • Talent planning

  • Coaching

Supervisory Development

This 3-day highly interactive program is designed for first-line supervisors responsible for a unit or service, direct caregivers including all levels of nursing staff, physical or respiratory therapists, dietary personnel, support staff, or anyone who may interact with patients, residents and/or their families.  The course will address the following topics:

  • Communication

  • Conflict management

  • Human resource management

  • Time management

  • Dealing with challenging customers

  • Cultural diversity

  • Giving feedback

  • Stress management

  • Accountability

  • Value of lifelong learning
