What is CPWDC?

Central
Pennsylvania Workforce Development Corporation (CPWDC) is a
workforce investment board authorized under the Workforce
Investment Act of 1998. CPWDC governs workforce
development policy for a nine-county region of Central
Pennsylvania (Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Mifflin,
Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Unio n Counties).

Customized Training
Opportunities - The Central Pennsylvania Workforce
Development Corporation, in partnership with the Central
Region PA CareerLinks®, announces Customized Training
opportunities to meet the needs of employers and job
seekers. Customized Training is supported by federal
funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act (ARRA) and is available for a limited time.
Employers can hire or promote employees that have
already participated in training critical to the job.
Job seekers, who already possess some job-related
skills, can pursue training that is directly linked to
an employment opportunity. For more information,

Community and Youth Service Directory
This
Directory is made available through the collaborative
efforts of the CPWDC and Penn State University (PSU). The
CPWDC’s Youth Council, in cooperation with PSU’s Cooperative
Extension and Workforce Development Resource Center, has
compiled this Workforce, Community and Youth Services
Directory which captures basic information on agencies
and organizations that deal with workforce, community and
youth development in the Central Region. The Central
Region, for purposes of this Directory, includes the
counties of Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Mifflin,
Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union.
