Youth Services
CPWDC receives funding to operate youth programs for eligible youth. Bridges to the Future, operated from each Central PA CareerLink® provides eligible In-School Youth (ISY) and Out-of-School Youth (OSY) with career and workplace preparation services so that they can compete in the job market.
Special Initiative Programs implemented through the Central PA CareerLink® offices are often funded with competitive grant funds and are intended to meet the education and job training needs of youth. Learn more about Special Initiative Programs for youth.

SPECIAL INITIATIVES
YouthBuild
This six-month, paid training program is for young adults, 18 to 24 years of age, who reside in Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union Counties. Participants can earn pre-apprenticeship certificates in construction trades while building and renovating affordable housing, obtain their GED, and develop leadership skills to help them become self-sufficient.
SEE Central Pennsylvania
The Central Pennsylvania Summer Employment Experience (SEE) is designed for youth and young adults ages 16 to 24. SEE provides a short-term paid work experience, academic enrichment and career development activities. Participants must meet eligibility requirements.
