The Central Pennsylvania Workforce Development Corporation and the Central PA CareerLink^® offices began recruiting employers in 2007 to utilize the WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate as part of their hiring and promotion practices. Employers endorse the certificate on three levels: Recognize, Request and/or Require based on hiring needs.

As of July 27, 2010, 431 employers endorse the WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate in Central Pennsylvania.
